So good to have more Indonesian food in Brisbane. Tuya specialised in Medan food, the food is pretty authentic, the chili is quite spicy and fresh. Their menu keeps growing so we will definitely return and try some more. Ibu, the chef is so friendly and easy to talk to. Price is reasonable, good thing that rice is already included the price

Totally worth the 45 min wait for the best fried smashed chicken in Brissie! Looks like it’s just a mum and daughter duo in the kitchen today so not the easiest operation. Chicken is super crispy, packed with that delicious red sambal chilli, and the portion is seriously generous — all for just $15! Great value and friendly vibes, will definitely be back for more!

Finally tried Tuya’s for the first time. Had been following them on Instagram for some time (with their sambal journey) and was so happy when they announced they are opening a restaurant. We tried the ayam gulai, beef rendang, kang kung, spicy peanuts, egg and mi goreng accompanied by their legendary sambal. And to drink we ordered an es bandung. Everything we ordered was so delicious and we experienced such friendly service. Also it is worth noting to spend the extra $1 to get the coconut rice, you won’t regret it. Can’t wait to come back here again!!!

Went here for the first time and had the Beef Rendang. As a Malaysian, I know this dish very well and it was perfectly made. Also, the red sambal is proper spicy, good stuff!

Had Indomie Chicken Bakso with Red Sambal as my lunch was outstanding, also Es Bandung not really sweet. The red sambal is not really spicy as well. Not many options, overall the food is yummy!

If your taste buds were blown away by the flavour of an Indomie Mi Goreng packet back when you were a child, Tuya's Smashed Chicken with peanut, chilli sweet soy and one of the sambal sauces will make you feel like that same child trying out a Mi Goreng packet for the first time again. The Bakso Soup is also quite enjoyable with a hearty taste.
